Commercial disclosure

Who publishes this site

Global Animal Guide is published by ELITE DIGITAL AI SOLUTIONS LTD. Editorial content is produced for readers; it is not veterinary advice.

Relationship with World Animal Rescue Network

World Animal Rescue Network is a global not-for-profit animal welfare organisation. It is registered in England & Wales as a Community Interest Company (company number 17298990 ). More detail: worldanimalrescuenetwork.org/about/registration-status.

Links on this site to World Animal Rescue Network (including donate and appeal pages on worldanimalrescuenetwork.org ) are promotional. They encourage readers to support that organisation’s work. Where a commercial or referral arrangement exists between the publisher and World Animal Rescue Network, those links may also benefit the publisher.

We do not offer charity donations, cashback, rebates, or other incentives in return for using Amazon affiliate links (prohibited by Amazon Associates rules).

Amazon Associates

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Global Animal Guide participates in the Amazon Associates Programme. Product links default to Amazon.co.uk (tracking ID clevermum0c-21 ). Visitors in the United States see Amazon.com links (tracking ID affiliate0f2a-20 ). When you click a Special Link and buy an eligible product, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Region detection uses Cloudflare edge country (loc=US → Amazon.com; otherwise Amazon.co.uk), with a weak en-US language fallback. You can force a store with ?amazon=uk or ?amazon=us on any page.

For US readers we also follow FTC endorsement guidance: affiliate relationships are disclosed clearly next to recommendations (Advertisement / paid link), not only in a distant footer.

How we label affiliate links (ASA + FTC + Amazon)

  • Site-wide — the required Amazon statement appears in the site footer on every page: “As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.”
  • Block-level — product recommendation sections are labelled Advertisement and repeat the Amazon Associate statement
  • Link-level — each product or browse link is marked (paid link) next to the link (ASA CAP Code rules 2.1 / 2.3 — marketing must be obviously identifiable)
  • HTML — affiliate anchors use rel="sponsored nofollow"
  • Hub — curated picks live mainly at /pets/essentials and on selected pet / wildlife pages

Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. We do not imply that Amazon endorses Global Animal Guide.

Operating Agreement — what we follow

  • Only promote Amazon products with tagged Special Links on sites we own and have declared in Associates Central
  • Original editorial content around recommendations (not bare link dumps)
  • No bidding on Amazon trademarks in paid search to send traffic directly to Amazon
  • No framing Amazon pages, no misleading “official Amazon” branding
  • No incentives (charity, cashback, points) for clicking our Amazon links
  • Honest product descriptions — we do not copy Amazon customer reviews onto this site
  • We do not currently run Chewy or other retail affiliate programmes

Account status — 3 sales in 180 days

Amazon reviews new Associates accounts after they generate at least three qualifying sales within 180 days of joining. Personal / friends-and-family orders do not count. Sites must remain public with substantial original content. If those sales are not made in time, Amazon may close the account.

This is an Amazon account requirement for the publisher — it does not change the price you pay. We keep Special Links live on high-intent pet pages so qualifying referrals can occur naturally.

Commission rates by category (Amazon UK)

Commission is a percentage of qualifying revenue and varies by product category. Rates change; the authoritative table is in Associates Central ( UK Standard Commission Income ). Snapshot for reader transparency (reviewed 2026-07-15):

Category (summary) Typical rate
Books (physical & Kindle books) 5%
Home, kitchen, furniture, handmade, automotive (selected) 5%
Beauty, sports & fitness, luggage (selected) 4%
All other categories (includes most pet supplies) 3%
Appliances / Fire TV / mobile electronics (selected) 2.5%
Grocery / Amazon Fresh / video games (selected) 1%
Gift cards, wine, some subscriptions (selected) 0%

Most pet toys, leads, carriers, and hay on this site typically fall under “All other categories” (~3%). Prescription pet medicines earn 0%. Always confirm the live rate in Associates Central for each ASIN.

Advertising

We do not currently display third-party display advertising networks on this site. If that changes, ads will be labelled and this page will be updated.

Editorial independence

Factual animal guides are written to our editorial standards. Affiliate blocks are kept separate from answer-first factual content where practical. Product picks are curated for relevance; Amazon does not pay us to place specific ASINs unless a separate sponsored arrangement exists (none at present).
